Tidepools Aquarium is Hiring!
The annual Climate Faire, hosted by the BlueAct Marine Society at the Gibsons Public Market on September 20-21, 2024, celebrated the Sunshine Coast’s progress in reducing its climate footprint and building resilience. This event aimed to inspire the community with local success stories, transform climate anxiety into positive action, and foster dialogue on climate change mitigation and adaptation. Featuring over 15 exhibitors and 20 panelists, the Faire showcased hands-on examples of climate solutions, provided opportunities to engage with leaders and experts, and encouraged collaboration to create a more climate-resilient community.
The reception, held from 4:30 pm to 7 pm, featured live music by Anagram, complimentary nibbles from Emelle’s Bistro, and a cash bar. Everyone was welcome to chat about the Climate Faire and reflect on what they had learned!
